Coming in with a bang!

OCTOBER 24, 2011

"You'd be great as Batman's two face in the ring..."

"Why do you say so?"

"Didn't you go by the name... Dos Caras Jr.? Dos Caras is two face, from Batman isn't it?"

"Yes, but that is actually a coincidence... Dos Caras literally means two faces, but my dad and I used it to represent the duality of Luchadores between Rudos (Heels) and Tecnicos (Faces)...

"Still, We're going to get you in a suit and paint your face... We feel you're stuck and are giving you a new direction."
"I feel that new direction goes against my father's tradition. I refuse..."

"Listen, this is what's best for you..."

"What's best for me? That's what you said when you made me debut here without my mask... All these years covering my face, the most prized possession of a luchador! Mi legado! El Legado de mi familia! And you took it off, without even beating me in a Mascara Vs. Mascara match."

"What are you going to do about it?"

"I'm done with this... You'll be hearing from my lawyers, and probably from me... When I'm conquering the World somewhere else."

WWE Has come to terms on the release of RAW Superstar Alberto del Rio.

WWE Wishes him the best on all his future endeavors.

90 Day no compete clause...

(What the hell am I supposed to do for 90 days?)

Al carajo, no me iba a dejar manosear mas.
(Fuck that, I wasn't taking any more crap from them.)

(At least they hadn't copyrighted the ring name I used there. The name which made me famous.)

OCTOBER 25, 2011

Voice on the phone: Diga? (Hello?)

Alberto Rodriguez: Bendición mamita. (Bless me mother. Traditional way of greeting someone elder.)

Mamá: Dios te bendiga hijito y te acompañe siempre (God Bless you  and may be with you always son.)

Alberto Rodriguez: Está papá? (is dad there?)

Mamá: Ya te lo paso (I'll put him through)

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Hijo? Leí las noticias, que sucedió? (Son? I read the news, what happened?)

Alberto Rodriguez: Me cansé papá. (I got tired of it dad.)

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Lo lamento hijo. (Sorry to hear that son.)

(I understand luchadores and masks don't sell really well, I didn't use my mask because they thought it would be bad for business... But playing with my family's tradition was something I wasn't going to put up with).

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Entiendo y respeto tu decisión hijo. Vienes a casa entonces? (I understand and respect your decision, son. Are you coming home, then?)

(I'm at the Potosi airport right now... I'm on my way.)

(Radio Voice: This just in... Dos Caras Jr. has ended his contract with ~Radio static~ where he worked under the name Alberto del Rio. Alledging personal motives, Dos Caras Jr. will have to be unactive for 90 days due to the no compete clause on his contract. CMLL and AAA are the wrestling promotions with the highest chances of signing the luchador.)

JANUARY 28, 2012

New york Skyline, what a beautiful sight from a city that felt everyone look like a microbe. Skyscrapers, big avenues, luxury cards, fancy lighting. Simply beautiful. Alberto Rodriguez looked at the skyline from the window on their hotel room, his hand on the cold glass as he contemplated Madison Square Garden from afar.

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Mañana es el gran dia (Tomorrow is the big day.)

Alberto Rodriguez: Ha sido una eternidad papá! (It's been a hell of a long time dad!)

(Yes, but your contract has been signed for months now... It's been hard to keep that secret!)

Alberto Rodriguez: Tienes razón, mañana se cumplen noventa días... Y allá... (You're right. It'll be ninety days tomorrow and... Over there...)

Alberto pressed his index against the dormant Madison Square Garden, which rested before them.

Alberto Rodriguez: Allá empezamos un nuevo camino mañana (A new road starts there... Tomorrow.)

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Si, como te sientes? (Yes, how are you feeling?)

Alberto Rodriguez: Me siento bien papá.. Algo nervioso, pero quien no lo estaría? (I'm feeling fine dad, a bit nervous but who wouldn't?)

(It's a shame you can't compete tomorrow, I tried to convince them but...)

Alberto Rodriguez: Lo se... ese pinche contrato. (I know... that stupid contract.)

Alberto's phone, which rested on top of a coffee table went off ringing... He promptly reached out to asnwer.

Alberto Rodriguez: Bueno? (Hello?)

Stephanie McMahon: Hello Alberto, this is Stephanie McMahon.

Alberto Rodriguez: Señorita McMahon, how are you?

Stephanie McMahon: I'm fine. What about you? Is the suite ok? Did you have any problems with the trip?

Alberto Rodriguez: No, no, absolutely... We' fine.

Stephanie McMahon: Good to know... Listen Alberto, I was going through your papers and... Considering your no compete clause of 90 days we were reluctant to show we hired you just to see the news dilute... So, considering the clause finishes tomorrow I was thinking you could participate in the Rumble... We think it will be fun if you just crash the party!

Alberto Rodriguez: And win it?

Stephanie McMahon: Don't push it.

Alberto Rodriguez: I'm Just joking señorita. So, you are basically saying I am cleared to compete tomorrow?

Stephanie McMahon: I am saying that exactly... Please report yourself at the MSG at 10:00 AM, Dr. Clemente will give you a routinary physical exam and then swing by my office so that we can discuss how are you going to come into the match.

Alberto Rodriguez: With a bang, that's for sure!

Stephanie McMahon: Luckily, we were able to win the legal battle to allow you to use the ring name you went by on WWE.

Alberto Rodriguez: That means a lot to me... At least I don't have to start from scratch!

Stephanie McMahon: Sorry to call on such short notice, but I thought it might interest you.

Alberto Rodriguez: You kidding me? I am dying to compete!

Stephanie McMahon: See you tomorrow, then.

Alberto put his cellphone down and smiled to his father.

(Dad! I'm getting a medical check tomorrow at MSG and Stephanie McMahon will see me afterwards to discuss a possible Royal Rumble participation!)

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Caray! que buena noticia! (gee, that's good news!)

(I've been 90 days without being in a ring, at least not with cameras, fans and all... Oh Boy! I'm excited!)

Alberto smiled a little and removed his Jacket, sitting on the edge of his bed.

Jose Luis Rodriguez: ora no te vayas a desvelar viendo luchas eh? (Now, I don't want you staying up to watch wrestling eh?)

Alberto looked at his dad.

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Te conozco! Me voy a acostar... Que descanses! (I know you! I'm off to bed... Rest!)

Alberto nodded as his father left his room... His EBWF adventure was about to begin.
