Ignorance is bliss.

Alberto gazed at the Chicago sky in the hotel room they were staying for the weekend with his father. Dressed in black slacks and a black polo T-shirt Alberto, looked at his dad sitting on the edge of his bed.

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Entonces, estás listo? (So, are you ready?)

Alberto Rodriguez: Claro que si Papá. (Of course I am, dad.)

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Te noto algo tenso... (It isn't a title match, right? You seem tense.)

He knew him, he was his son after all. Despite nothing was down the line really. Depending on how well he sold his match it would mean the viewers would get glued and marked for them.

(It doesn't matter if it is a title match or not... I'm doing this for you.)

Dad looked a little off, what did Alberto mean anyway?

Jose Luis Rodriguez: a que te refieres? (What do you mean?)

Alberto Rodriguez: Ya lo verás. (You'll See.)

(I'm loving this! It is so revolutionary! I've seen hundreds of Mask Vs. Mask and Hair Vs. Hair match, but never Soul Vs. Soul, how does it work?)

Alberto Rodriguez: Ya lo verás. (You'll see.)

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Deja el misterio y cuentame! (Spill the beans already! Stop being so mysterious about it).

Alberto Rodriguez: No Papá. (No dad.)

Jose Luis Rodriguez: ¿Nisiquiera como funciona? (Now even how it all will work?)

Alberto Rodriguez: Nisiquiera como funciona. Espera a esta noche. (Not even how it all will work. Wait for tonight.)

Dad seemed a bit disappointed, but he understood.

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Está bien... Oye, siento que mamá y tu tio no hayan podido venir. (Alright... Hey, I'm sorry your mom and uncle couldn't make it.)

Alberto needed no explanations, his uncle was definitely not interested in coming. Mom wasn't very used to the road.

Alberto Rodriguez: Entiendo. (I understand. I'm still with my old man, and that is quite important.)

(Son, remember Potosi Radio is calling for an interview.)

(Yeah, they're supposed to call in a while... I'm sure they want me to tell them about Fallout.)

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Y seguro sobre lo de Kane... (And Kane...)

Alberto Rodriguez: Pero si no te conté a ti, menos a ellos papá. (I didn't tell you, think I'm going to tell them?)

Alberto tapped his dad on the shoulder and smiled. Dad chuckled.

Alberto Rodriguez: I'm not sure why they haven't called... Do you think they'll

Alberto's phone went off.

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Hablando del rey de Roma... (Speak of the devil...)

Alberto took his phone and placed it on his right ear.

Alberto Rodriguez: Hello?

Ramon: Bueno? Alberto? (Hello? Alberto?)

Alberto Rodriguez: Si. (Yes.)

Ramon: Alberto Te habla Ramon Cabrera de Potosi Radio deportiva 102.9. Cómo estas? (Alberto, this is Ramon Cabrera from Potosi Sports Radio 102.9. How are you?)

Alberto walked towards his bed and laid down, his trademark del Rio Cocky smirk curving up on his face.

Alberto del Rio: Como crees que estoy? Fabuloso! Disfrutando mi gran vida, mis lujos, mi dinero... (How do you think I am? I am great! Enjoying my great life, my luxuries, my money...)

(As it should be! Alberto, this weekend EBWF will be having their monthly event Fallour, where you'll be facing Kane in a Soul Vs. Soul match. I think this is a first timer... Could you please tell us what is it all about?

(What is it all about? It's about me beating that horrendous monster! That is what this is all about! Soul Vs. Soul? I don't have the slightest idea of what Kane meant when he challenged me! The guy is Crazy! All I can tell you Roman is..."

Ramon: Ramon...

(Its the same... The only thing I can tell you is, I'm beating Kane and then I'll probably use his soul to wipe my shoes after the match.)

Ramon: No te da miedo? (aren't you afraid?)

(What should I be afraid of? I am Alberto del Rio! I come from a wrestling lineage! My blood is Lucha Libre royalty!)

Ramon: Entiendo. Algo más que decir? (I understand. Anything else to say?)

(I personally invite all of my friends from Potosi Sports Radio to order the  EBWF Pay Per View event , Fallout... So you can see how I kick Kane's ass! Or I will stop calling myselg Alberto del Rio!).

(You heard him folks! EBWF Superstar Alberto del Rio, telling us about his match with Kane, where their souls will be on the line, winner takes all. Alberto, it has been a pleasure to hear from you.)

(Shame I can't say the same.)

Alberto hung up the phone and smiled.

Jose Luis Rodriguez: Excelente hijo!

(Thanks dad, I got it from you!)

Alberto smiled and looked at his dad as he sat on the edge of the bed he was laying on. His big mouth wasn't the only thing he inherited from his dad... His determination, his stubbornness and his love for the business came along with it.

Virgencita santa... Protegenos. (Holy virgin, protect us.)
Virgencita divina... Nos nos desampares. (Divine Virgin, don't let us unprotected.)

(Hail Mary, full of grace.)
El señor es contigo. (Our lord is with thee.)
Bendita eres entre todas las mujeres. (Blessed art thou among women.)
(And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.)

Santa Maria, madre de Dios. (Holy Mary, Mother of God.)
Reza por nosotros los pecadores. (Pray for us sinners.)
(Now and at the hour of our death, Amen.)

The scene faded from black as the prayers in Spanish accent were the only thing our fans could hear. Alberto del Rio had opened the door to his locker room, finding Ricardo Rodriguez knelt, with his head down in the middle of a prayer.

Alberto del Rio: Did you drop something?

Ricardo Rodriguez: No señor, just.

Alberto del Rio: Then what are you doing down there?

Ricardo Rodriguez: P-p-praying señor!

Alberto walked towards him and placed both hands on his shoulders, pulling Ricardo up to his feet.

Alberto del Rio: It is the first time I see you praying before a match... Are you scared or something?

Ricardo Rodriguez: No... I just. Okay I'm freaked out.

Alberto del Rio: Listen Ricardo, he wants to play mind games with you and I. Are you falling for that? Are you?

Ricardo Rodriguez: What if he does that thing again?

Alberto del Rio: What? Dragging you to the depths of...

Ricardo Rodriguez: NO! SHUSH! Ay Chihuaha!

Ricardo shook his head, his greasy black hair flailing from side to side.

Alberto del Rio: What's wrong with you?

Ricardo Rodriguez: You don't know what you're talking about! It was Horrible!

Alberto del Rio: I bet! A lot of dust, a ladder, a trash can, are there any kendo sticks under there?

Ricardo Rodriguez: Obviously you've never been there...

Alberto del Rio: Of course I haven't! I am a superstar, not a janitor... I won't give him the opportunity to pull any stupid tricks from his sleeve... Don't worry!

Ricardo shook his head.

Alberto del Rio: Stop Worrying, do you really think something is going to happen? Do you really think we're dying or something? Why don't you stop watching horror movies and grow up? No nos va a pasar nada! Calmate! Kane es un perro tratando de asustarnos (Nothing is going to happen! Calm down! Kane is just a dog trying to scare us.)

Alberto patted him confidently on the shoulder before leaving their locker room... Leaving Ricardo on his own, who looked up in the sky, as if pleading.

Ricardo Rodriguez: Ay Dios Mio... Virgencita... Chihuahua...
